Season starts now!

Season starts now!

I leave tomorrow to start my road trip for the first three Annika-WAPT tournaments. I will fly to New Orleans, where I will meet up with my former Oregon State teammates Olivia Benzin and Susie Cavanagh.

I’ve been working on my game, practicing and playing at multiple courses including a quick trip to the desert to play The Tradition.

Three week driving tour of Louisiana and Mississippi

My first tournament, the Northshore Championship, starts April 3 at the Beau-Chene Country Club in Mandeville, Louisiana, on the Oak Course. Mandeville is about 40 minutes from New Orleans, on the north side of Lake Pontchartrain. Following Beau-Chene, we travel three hours by car to Lake Charles, Louisiana for the L’Augberge Lake Charles Championship. Contraband Bayou Golf Club is hosting April 10 – 13. My parents are coming out for that tournament.

Following Lake Charles, we’ll drive another three hours to Natchez, Mississippi for the Taco Bell Natchez Classic April 17 -20 at Beau Pre Country Club. I am kind of intrigued to see if Taco Bell will actually be serving tacos and burritos there!

Once we finish up in Natchez, we’ll drive back to New Orleans and I will fly home to San Diego. It will be a long and busy three weeks, because on the off days, we will still have practice rounds and Pro/Am tournaments to play. The same day I get back to San Diego, I’ll pick my brother up at airport and we’ll drive to San Jacinto for the US Women’s Open Qualifier on April 23 at Soboba Springs Golf Course. I’ll have a couple days off and then head back to the airport on the 27th for another three week swing in Texas and Oklahoma.

Details coming!

I don’t have my tee times yet, but I’ll post those and the link to the leaderboard once I get to Louisiana. I am very excited to get the season started!
